The Clinic Launch Checklist

What a wellness clinic needs in place before opening day, sequenced so nothing blocks your first patient.

Start with the license, then the menu

Your license type decides what you can offer, who can administer it, and what documentation has to sit in the file. Confirm scope first, then design the treatment menu around it. Building the menu before confirming scope is the most common reason an opening slips.

Keep the opening menu deliberately small. Three to five services you can deliver flawlessly will out earn a dozen you deliver inconsistently, and a short menu keeps your opening inventory affordable.

Sequence the buildout around revenue

Order the room, equipment, and consumables in the order they produce revenue. Chairs, infusion supplies, and the nutrients for your top drips come before capital equipment that serves a service line you have not launched yet.

  • Treatment rooms and chairs ready for your first three services
  • Cold storage sized for your expected weekly volume
  • Opening inventory with a documented par level per item
  • Payments, POS, and scheduling live and tested with a real transaction
  • Staff trained on protocol, documentation, and adverse event handling

Get supply predictable before you get busy

Stockouts hurt most once the schedule fills. Set par levels per item and a standing order that replenishes automatically, so reordering is not a task somebody has to remember on a busy afternoon.

Consolidating categories with one supplier also shortens the paper trail. One invoice and one documentation source is far easier to defend during an inspection than a dozen vendors and a shared inbox.

Plan the first ninety days of demand

Opening with no demand plan means paying for staff and inventory that sit idle. Line up a pre opening list, a launch offer that does not devalue the service, and a membership or package structure that turns first visits into recurring revenue.
